Thank you, Assistance League of San Antonio!
Blessings pour in to our Parents' Academy families from the Assistance League of San Antonio!
This all volunteer organization is dedicated to charitable work that impacts thousands of community members each year. Parents' Academy partners with one of the Assistance League's charitable programs, "Togs for Tots", which provides clothing, books and a grooming kit for infants, toddlers and preschool children in our program.
On graduation night at Parents' Academy, families are blessed with two complete outfits for their young children because of the generosity of Assistance League Volunteers. Families with newborns even receive a handmade gown, designed and lovingly sewn by ALSA members. Onesies, socks, receiving blankets and more round out the "Togs for Tots" bag which I call "a baby shower in a bag". Preschool children receive 2 complete outfits, socks, underwear, books, and a grooming kit, all lovingly selected and packaged by ALSA volunteers.
Assistance League sponsors many other charitable programs including"Operation School Bell", "Watch Me Grow", "I'm in Charge", CAPS, college scholarships, and more. Our families at Parents' Academy are honored to be a part of the Assistance League family. The members raise all the funds for their charitable programs. If you want to meet ALSA members and support their mission, drop by their Thrift House at 2611 West Avenue. You are sure to find some bargains and you will be helping a very worthy cause!
